Ugo Legrand is Olympic bronze medalist at the 2012 Olympics in London. He won silver at the 2013 World Championships in Rio and bronze in 2011. Ugo won the World Junior title in 2008 in Bangkok and three European Junior medals.
He was 2012 European Champion in Chelyabinsk. After retiring from competition in 2015 he moved to the United States to continue sharing his knowledge and experience with the judo community in the US.

Ugo Legrand is the youngest of three and comes from ng in the suburbs of Rouen, in Grand-Quevilly, France
Ugo comes from four generations of wrestlers and judokas from the beginning of the century. The starting point was his great-grandfather, François Legrand (says Fournier) France Champion, European Champion and Vice World Champion Greco Roman wrestling in 1928. He later joined a team of professional wrestlers going around the world to participate in exhibitions in Moscow to Buenos Aires. His son Francis, discovered judo in Morocco, under the leadership of Master Collard (who later became President of the FFJDA). He practiced judo for many years, earning the passage Moroccan nationals. It is returning to his native region, he decided to found a club in 1962.
